To be honest, I contacted the "big" names that the audio industry seemed to push on the masses. Talked with one and they stated they would custom build an alternator for my 2009 Ford Escape Limited because they did not have one in stock at the moment.They had a couple of options for Escapes but none for my model I was thrilled that they were going to custom build from the ground up. Well I ordered and it was a good bit more expensive than the PB alt. I was tracking it getting to me and the day before it was to arrive i started to pain in the butt job of removing the OEM alt. It is at the bottom of the motor and a pain to remove. The next day it arrived. I opened it and it was wrong. Nothing matched in mounting and was quite a bit larger. They did nothing but send a HO alt for a Ford. Did not build me one from the ground up. Just yanked one off the shelf and shipped. Well I sent it back. Reinstalled my OEM and found Power Bastards. Shipping was fast and when it arrived it was a carbon copy of the OEM alt and installed perfectly. Plug in and play The Alt works as claimed and I have not had an issue what so ever. I have confidence in saying to not believe the hype from the audio industry that only xyz alts are the best because it just isn't true. I am glad to have found Power Bastard's and they are now my go to for my vehicles charging needs. Give them a shot, you will not be disappointed!

I run several sets of lights on my Disco, it has heated seats, heated front and rear windows, an extra stereo amp, a winch and I occasionally pull a camper trailer that has a constant 12v draw charging its onboard battery and running the fridge. My PB alternator NEVER fails to keep up. It can power every single thing running at the same time without any issue at all. Heck, I could probably do some stick welding with it if I had to!

My stock alternator failed and I already had a PB alternator in another vehicle that I'm super impressed with. Why not use one in my Superduty too?! This thing never misses a beat and keeps both my batteries fully charged. I run many thousands of miles a year pulling our travel trailer and my PB alternator has no problem powering the truck and running the camper's fridge all day long. Install was a breeze through the front fender well - no need to follow the "procedure" and remove coolant hoses and all that - just take out the fender liner and pop in the new alternator I recommend Power Bastards' alternators over OEM for every application!

I’m currently in the east coast. Needed to replace my oem 180amp alternator due to killing it with extra electronics. I paid for next day shipping and it came from their location in California. It got to me before I got off work around 4pm est.

The alternator is same factory size and came with the distributor. Easy install! Now my e90 is back on the road and maintaining proper voltage.

Will recommend to any e90 owner running extra goodies. Will update if any issues come up!

The alternator showed damaged likely from shipping. I contacted PB and Mike responded quickly by offering to ship a replacement out to me. It arrived quickly and undamaged this time.

I installed the new alternator and everything went smoothly and as it should. I was able to attend a show that weekend where I demoed my ~3KW sound system for spectators several times that day. The voltage held steady without issue.

These VW vehicles are quite picky about electrical components but this alternator was “plug and play” and performed flawlessly.

I worked with Mike at PowerBastards to get my high-output alternator fixed under warranty. Mike was on the ball and able to fulfill my needs for this issue. He gave me context on the issue and sent me back my alternator, which I had PepBoys install due to being out of town at the time of the incident. PepBoys confirmed my alternator worked again after getting it repaired/replaced by Mike. PepBoys said the alternator was now outputting a charging load. Thank you Mike! I have had this alternator on my 2016 Polaris Slingshot and it has the power to power all of my accessories like led lights, air horn, turbo charger and still keep the battery fully charged. The customer service is A1. I had the fusable link go bad and Power Bastards are now sending me two new ones for the alternator. That is excellent customer service. From reading the other reviews, I think it is rare that anyone ever receives an alternator that isn't working from PowerBastards. But I did ... mine was putting out 19v. I emailed them; they shipped a replacement and gave me a free label to send the bad one back. The new one works like a charm. It probably won't happen to you, but if it does, PowerBastards will do the right thing. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

I installed this in my 2012 Avalanche and my lights, winch and stereo are all running with out any sags in voltage. I did get their 0awg kit and it works as well. Kudos for the kilowatts!

This alt is definitely under rated. I would agree it puts out 110+ at idle which is fantastic cause stock is like 10A so that alone is worth the money. I've been running this alt for a few years now of intense abuse and it's holding up great. I've seen much cheaper "high output" alts on ebay but I'll gladly pay a bit more for the guaranteed quality. 6/5 stars

I purchased this same alternator back in the summer of 2021 and have really enjoyed it unfortunately the shop that I had replace my timing chain didn’t bolt it in all the way which made it not ground properly and 2 days after getting my car back it was dead.
